The Gardens at the Crematoria of Auschwitz-Birkenau

In his contemporary manuscript, Marcel Nadjari, a prisoner of the Jewish Sonderkommando in Auschwitz-Birkenau, provided the following description of crematorium 2/3 (he was usually employed at the latter):

"It is a big building with a wide chimney and 15 ovens. Below a garden there are two big endless rooms in the basement. The one serves for undressing and the other is the death chamber, where the people enter naked and after filled with about 3000 people, it is closed and they gas them, where they gave up the ghost after 6 to 7 minutes of martyrdom."

Traffic and Publicity of the Holocaust Controversies Blog

Recently, the Holocaust Controversies (HC) blog has surpassed two million page views since June 2010 (the blog was actually founded in 2006, but the counter was reset at that time for unknown reasons). Since readers tend to recur and check out more than one page, this is not to be confused with "unique visitors" and even less so with unique persons. Still, two million page views in 6.5 years seems like some decent traffic considering that the blog is about an atrocious part of human history and its denial by a fringe group - not exactly a subject predestined  to attract the masses.

Thomas Kues on Maly Trostenets: Lying about a German Court Judgment

In a judgment issued on 21.05.1963, the Court of Assizes (Landgericht - LG) in Koblenz, German Federal Republic, sentenced several former participants in mass crimes committed in the years 1941-44 in the areas of Minsk, Koidanow, Rakow, Slonim and Sluzk in present-day Belarus, including the Maly Trostenets killing site near Minsk.

How Deniers Keep Their Friends

Why does it seem that with every new issue of Inconvenient History, instead of being awestruck by some new found history and research that shakes the core of our conventional and ‘mainstream’ beliefs, we are instead witness to the perpetual revisionist attempts to ignore or hand wave ‘inconvenient’ information? Be it Joe Bishop’s failures on the open-air shootings, Dalton’s spinning of Goebbels’ 27 March 1942 diary entry, or Kues’ oddball attempts to prove ‘resettlement’ via tertiary and hearsay sources while ignoring German wartime documents, Inconvenient History has done more to show the weakness of revisionist arguments than their bona fides.

In the latest issue, we are provided yet another letdown of revisionist honesty, particularly in Jett Rucker’s “profile” of David Irving.

More «Evidence for the Presence of "Gassed" Jews in the Occupied Eastern Territories» (2)

Part 1

Lithuania

TK postulates that any French Jews in Lithuania prior to the transport from Drancy to Kovno and Talinn on 15 May 1944 must have reached that destination via Auschwitz-Birkenau or Sobibór, the documented destinations of most deportees from France. As pointed out in part 1, deportations of Auschwitz concentration camp inmates as laborers would be a plausible explanation if one is to assume that witnesses were not simply misled by rumors or otherwise mistaken or saying something that Soviet interrogators (according to historian Andrew Ezergailis, quoted by TK, the Soviets falsely claimed that 240,000 Jews had been sent to Latvia and murdered there) wanted to hear.

More «Evidence for the Presence of "Gassed" Jews in the Occupied Eastern Territories» (1)

Part 2

Few "Revisionist" filth merchants invest as much work into their propagandistic falsehoods as Thomas Kues (TK). In his obsessive endeavor to provide «Evidence for the Presence of "Gassed" Jews in the Occupied Eastern Territories», the new "Revisionist" coryphée has produced two articles[1] with a total of more than 42,000 words including footnotes, the "To be continued" at the end of the second article suggesting that there will be at least one further installment.

Inconvenient History's Joe Bishop Wants to Kill Jews

It is a self-evident truth that writers and ideologues often use looser language within a private setting than they would in public. For revisionist Joe Bishop, this looser language involved endorsing a call to kill all Jews, including children.

Joe Bishop's 'Inconvenient' Review

As a contributor to all but one of CODOH’s Inconvenient History volumes, Joseph Bishop has taken on a prominent role with the new revisionist journal, having only been out produced by Editor Richard Widmann and heavy contributor Thomas Kues. Readers might remember Bishop from his abysmal treatment of the shootings of Soviet Jews, succinctly responded to on this blog. While Bishop never made any response to the criticisms despite being made aware of them, we can detect his aversion of the open-air shootings topic in his recent book review of John Mosier’s Deathride.

In this blog, the details and evidence for Mosier’s revisionist-oriented argument regarding the Eastern front in Deathride will not be explored. It should be pointed out, however, that Mosier, who is an English professor at Loyola University, has been heavily criticized for his works by military historians. In a review of Mosier’s The Myth of the Great War and The Blitzkrieg Myth noted scholar Jeremy Black strongly disapproved of his works, pessimistically viewing the popularity of the deeply flawed works as a “triumph of emotion over reason.” Deathride continues Mosier’s authorship of “poor history,” according to military historian Alexander Hill. It might then be appropriate that Bishop declared the work to be “refreshing and pleasantly surprising to revisionists.”

«Evidence for the Presence of "Gassed" Jews in the Occupied Eastern Territories» (1)

Last Monday RODOH moderator nexgen586 opened a thread called Here be holonails...or not., in which he presented a link to the article Evidence for the Presence of "Gassed" Jews in the Occupied Eastern Territories, Part 1 by Thomas Kues, which appeared in the "Revisionist" journal Inconvenient History.

The accompanying comment of nexgen586 ("I have either been given a link to an exciting cache of newly manufactured holonails for you Manitou or a rather large loose screw. Anyway there may be something worth discussing for you all.") made me curious about whether Thomas Kues had indeed, as this comment suggested he might have, produced something a cut above run-of-the-mill "Revisionist" propaganda. Thus I had a closer look at Kues' article and presented my comments about that article on the aforementioned RODOH thread (posts 12308, 12309, 12310, 12311 and 12312).

These posts will be reproduced, with the necessary formatting and minor editing changes, in the present blog and further blogs to follow in the next days.

Goebbels on 27 March 1942 – "Dalton" keeps on trying

In my blogs Goebbels on liquidation and Thomas Dalton responds to Roberto Muehlenkamp and Andrew Mathis (3), I demonstrated that the term "liquidated" in Goebbels’ diary entry of 27 March 1942 can have referred to nothing other than physical killing of the greater part the Jews from the General Government, who Goebbels thought would have to be liquidated whereas only a smaller part could be used for forced labor.

Goebbels on liquidation

On 27 March 1942, Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels wrote into his diary one of the most explicit recorded references to the Nazi genocide of the Jews.

Deniers Who Favour the Prosecution of Free Speech (Part 2)

In this radio interview, starting at 22 minutes, 19 seconds, Carolyn Yeager states:
The point I want to make is that I think the time has come that while...we have debunked so much...the only way to go forward is through the courts...The European people founded this country and we can't go into our own courts, because they have been taken over. We need to use our courts for ourselves.
At 35:28, she says:
If they attack us in the courts, I think we should be going after them in the courts based on they cannot back up what they say.
This advocate of using courts to prosecute free speech writes for the Inconvenient History blog, which claims be founded on...the protection of free speech.

Richard Widmann and Verohnika Clark (Amended)

Originally posted: 24 Dec 2009; amended 2 January 2010.

Richard A. Widmann recently made this statement concerning his new journal:
Inconvenient History attempts to return to the roots of revisionism without any political agenda or desire to white wash totalitarian regimes.
This statement can be shown to be false.
