The discovery of Himmler's appointments diaries and Himmler's visit to Sobibor in 1943

British tabloids like The Sun, Daily Star, Daily Express and Daily Mail are currently agog at the news that Himmler's diaries have been discovered in Russia, having learned that their German equivalent Bild is serialising excerpts (behind a paywall) of a remarkable discovery by German and Russian historians in the Russian archives.

An Interview with ex-denier Christian Lindtner

This blog recently conducted an interview with former denier Christian Lindtner, who had once been involved with the 2006 revisionist conference in Tehran. After continuing his research into the Holocaust, Lindtner came to disavow his earlier position, and as a result has suffered public attacks from the likes of Juergen Graf and Frederick Toben. Lindtner has established his own blog, Holocaust Denial is Chutzpah, in order to publicize and support his position.

While HC members may not necessarily endorse all of the statements that Lindtner makes, we feel that his work on denial would be worthwhile for our readers to access. We have bolded some of Dr. Lindtner's responses which we found especially interesting.

Update on SK1005

After having posted about deniers' treatment of SK1005, I received information about PRO decodes mentioning SK1005 (and Blobel). I am not free to divulge the details, but the article quoting these documents may be published in the near future. So keep this in mind when deniers repeat their debunked arguments.

"Einsatzgruppe Aegypten"?

Yahoo News:
The director of the Nazi research center in Ludwigsburg, Klaus-Michael Mallman, and Berlin historian Martin Cueppers say an Einsatzgruppe was all set to go to Palestine and begin killing the roughly half a million Jews that had fled Europe to escape Nazi death camps like Auschwitz and Birkenau.

In the study, published last month, they say "Einsatzgruppe Egypt" was standing by in Athens and was ready to disembark for Palestine in the summer of 1942, attached to the "Afrika Korps" led by the famed desert commander General Erwin Rommel.

Interesting, if true.

Update: the reference is Mallmann, Klaus-Michael (und Cüppers, Martin) Beseitigung der jüdisch-nationalen Heimstätte in Palästina. Das Einsatzkommando bei der Panzerarmee Afrika 1942 in: Matthäus, Jürgen / Mallmann, K.-M. (Hgg) Deutsche, Juden, Völkermord. Der Holocaust als Geschichte und Gegenwart Darmstadt: Wiss. Buchgesellschaft WBG, 2006

Update 2: the response at the Cesspit is predictably hysterical. They don't even know what evidence has been found, but they already deny it!
