Confirmed: a Holocaust denier has influenced Trump and his policy.

Author: Sergey Romanov
As we have reported recently, there has been a well-founded suspicion that Chuck C. Johnson, a Holocaust denier, has been collaborating with the Trump administration.

Now there is more information. Politico reports  (via Charles Johnson, not to be confused with the deplorable C(h)uck):
The consequences can be tremendous, according to a half-dozen White House officials and others with direct interactions with the president. A news story tucked into Trump’s hands at the right moment can torpedo an appointment or redirect the president’s entire agenda. Current and former Trump officials say Trump can react volcanically to negative press clips, especially those with damaging leaks, becoming engrossed in finding out where they originated.
That is what happened in late February when someone mischievously gave the president a printed copy of an article from GotNews‌.com, the website of internet provocateur Charles C. Johnson, which accused deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh of being “the source behind a bunch of leaks” in the White House.
To remind you, Chuck C. Johnson is a sociopath who simply invents facts when it suits him. He also denies the Holocaust (archived version):
I do not and never have believed the six million figure. I think the Red Cross numbers of 250,000 dead in the camps from typhus are more realistic. I think the Allied bombing of Germany was a ware crime. I agree with David Cole about Auschwitz and the gas chambers not being real. I read the German War (highly recommend), Bloodlands, Mein Kampf, and all of David Irving. I’m more or less of the view that the war was an outgrowth of the efforts of communism to spread itself throughout the world. I also believe that the fears of German extermination were not misplaced, especially in light of the Ukrainian famine. But I support Israel as a Jewish state and Zionism as a concept. I’m pro-ethno state, generally. I understand why and how Hitler rose to power but think too much of our focus on World War II is spent trying to understand Hitler and not enough is spent trying to understand Weimar. Mecius Moldbug, aka Curtis Yarvin, is right. America is a communist country.
(The "Red Cross numbers" refer to a popular dumb denial meme  with the alleged "Red Cross stats" about the Nazi camps. The stats come from the ITS, not the Red Cross; were not gathered during the war but are based on the incomplete camp documentation; do not refer to camp death tolls but to the numbers of death certificates by the special registry office of the ITS; concern only the registered prisoners (most gassed Jews were not registered); never were claimed to have been complete camp death tolls; IOW Chuckie is full of $@#$).

Sebastian Gorka: Anti-Terrorism Advisor to Donald Trump and Family Friend of David Irving?

Author: Andrew E. Mathis
If you've paid more than passing attention to first month of the Trump administration, you've likely noticed the National Security aspect of the incipient cabinet more than anything else, not only because of the appointment of Breitbart News troll Steve Bannon to the NSC but also because of the ascent within this milieu of Dr. Sebastian Gorka, who was named Deputy Assistant to the President due to his alleged foreign policy and anti-terrorism credentials.

While discussing the questionable qualifications of Dr. Gorka might be beyond the purview of this blog, the relationship of his family with Holocaust denier David Irving is not. A few days ago, the Forward reported that Gorka had pursued ties with the far-right Jobbik party in Hungary – itself no stranger to Holocaust denial. On February 27, the Twitter account of the Southern Poverty Law Center's HateWatch project (itself the alma mater of yours truly) linked to a blog post on the LobeLog foreign policy blog. In this post, author Eva S. Balogh writes:

Another intriguing aspect of the Gorka family’s life in Great Britain is their relationship to David Irving, a revisionist historian who tried to clean away the “years of grime and discoloration from the façade of a silent and forbidding monument” to reveal the real Hitler […] Eventually, he decided to write a book on the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, which he published in 1981 under the title Uprising! One Nation’s Nightmare, 1956. The massive 740-page book is available online. Irving’s conclusion is that the revolt was “primarily an anti-Jewish uprising,” a gross misrepresentation of the facts. He interviewed a lot of people both in Hungary and abroad who had a role to play in the events. Although Pál Gorka [Sebastian's father], who had been freed from jail a few days after the outbreak of the uprising, certainly wasn’t a key player, he got at least a couple of footnotes. More interesting was the introduction where Irving thanked his three interpreters, one of whom was Susan GorkaPál’s wife and Sebastian’s mother. Considering that Irving, according to his own admission, spent about six years off and on doing research on this book and knew not a word of Hungarian, Susan Gorka must have worked with the author fairly closely. [emphasis added]

A point of clarification: Sebastian Gorka was born and raised in the U.K., so presumably the Gorka family's association with Irving began there. While Irving was not yet a denier in 1981, when Uprising was published, he had already published Hitler's War, which was his opening foray of the phase of his career dedicated to exculpating Hitler for the Holocaust.

It would be premature to conclude that Sebastian Gorka or his parents are Holocaust deniers because of their associations with David Irving. However, it would be far less premature to conclude that, as has been repeatedly alleged in the left-wing media over the course of the last several weeks, the Gorka family has demonstrable links to the far right, Irving included. Only a year after publishing Uprising, Irving founded Focal Point and declared himself a "mild fascist."

Yet another Trump connection to Holocaust denial?

Author: Sergey Romanov
The sex-predator-in-chief has been getting some bad rap lately for his mealy-mouthed statement on the Holocaust Remembrance day, characterized by his noted neofascist supporter Richard Spencer as "de-Judaification" of the Holocaust (which makes no sense whatsoever since the Holocaust is defined as the systematic murder of the Jews by the Nazis), and which might have been intentional, so it's interesting that yet another Trump supporter and an apparent Trump admin collaborator Chuck Johnson, primarily known for being a shameless liar, has recently come out as a Holocaust denier in a Reddit AMA:
justacolyte:
what are your thoughts on the Holocaust, WW2, and the JQ in general?
ChuckCJohnson:
I do not and never have believed the six million figure. I think the Red Cross numbers of 250,000 dead in the camps from typhus are more realistic. I think the Allied bombing of Germany was a ware crime. I agree with David Cole about Auschwitz and the gas chambers not being real. He has apparently missed the fact that Cole actually accepts the murder of millions of Jews, including in gas chamber at the Aktion Reinhardt camps, even if he is still "skeptical" about Auschwitz.

Notably, Chucky partially bases his denial on the tired meme of the "Red Cross statistics", which is popular among the twitter generation of the denier zombies. I wrote this entry which succinctly explains why this meme is utterly false. Chuck prides himself on his allegedly high IQ, which in this instance must mean "slightly above 10", because no truly intelligent life form would fall for such a stupid lie.

Anyway, there you have it: another apparent Trump-HD connection. Earlier we have already reported on an apparently Holocaust-denying Trump adviser. Which comes as no surprise given how the so-called "alt-right" is so fond of denial and/or minimization of the Holocaust.

Holocaust Deniers and the Donald Trump Phenomenon: Some Observations

Author: Jonathan Harrison
Holocaust denial lurks in the shadows of Donald Trump's support, alongside 9/11 conspiracy theories and other Alt-right memes. This present article is prompted by this Snopes.com report of the death last week of Victor Thorn, who was both a Holocaust denier, as shown here, and 9/11 Truther, as shown here. Last year, Thorn was a main source of the anti-Clinton diatribe co-authored by JFK conspiracist Roger Stone and despicable racist Robert Morrow, which was endorsed by Trump in this tweet, discussed here. The connections that link Thorn to Stone and Morrow, such as those raised by Media Matters for America here, can cast light on the netherworld in which Alt-right characters work.
